It’s not every day that you get taught a class by Hollywood royalty.
So understandably students at London School of Economics were just a bit starstruck today when Angelina Jolie turned up to give a lecture.
The human rights advocate lectured at the Centre for Women, Peace and Security, while beginning a new master’s course on the impact of war on women.
The visiting professor toned down the glamour for the day and arrived in a low-key black outfit.
But students were still incredibly taken by the star – and said she did a brilliant job.
“When Angelina is the guest lecturer at LSE,” one student tweeted, sharing a picture of Angelina with her class.
While others tweeted that Angelina’s presence sent everyone on campus “crazy”.
“Angelina Jolie just gave a lecture at LSE and everybody is going crazy lol,” another student tweeted.
Another added: “Angelina Jolie on campus. I’m finally seeing the advantages of going to LSE jk (sic).”
Meanwhile, another student took to Instagram to praise the “incredible” lecture the Hollywood actress gave.
“Incredible lecture by Angelina today,” Alana Foster wrote.
Despite Angelina’s flawless appearance, she admitted that she was nervous before the lecture.
“I’m a little nervous, feeling butterflies. I hope I do well. This is very important to me,” she told London’s Evening Standard .
Angelina talked about her experience as UN special envoy and what motivated her work.
“I am delighted that LSE postgraduate students have had the unique opportunity to learn directly from the valuable insights, perspectives and experiences that Angelina Jolie, UN special envoy and visiting professor in practice, brought to the class,” Prof Christine Chinkin, director of the Centre for Women, Peace and Security, said.
