Borussia Dortmund manager Peter Bosz has provided an update on Ousmane Dembele’s potential transfer to Barcelona after the player went AWOL this week.
The France international has been identified as Barca’s top target to replace Neymar after his move to Paris Saint-Germain, with Dortmund confirming this week that they’d rejected their opening offer.
Dortmund now look set to make a decision on Dembele’s future today, with Bosz confirming he was set for talks with the 20-year-old later on.
‘We will sit down with Ousmane Dembele tonight. We’ll announce a decision afterwards,’ Bosz said when asked about Dembele’s situation.
It remains to be seen if the youngster will prove successful in his efforts to force a move, but he has strongly hinted he wants to be allowed to join the Nou Camp.
‘(Barcelona) is a great club and all players would like to play at a club like that,’ he said earlier this month.
‘It is a pleasure to be able to see your name on the list of players who Barcelona want. We’ll be calm and see what happens.’

Dembele has also talked up his love for Barca in the past, saying during his Rennes days that it was his dream to play for Los Cules.
Dortmund, however, won’t be happy with how he’s conducted himself during this saga and have previously insisted that the Frenchman was absolutely not for sale this summer.
Dembele’s fine form in the Bundesliga has also seen him linked with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and City this summer.
