Chelsea are by far the Premier League's most improved team – but how does your side compare to last season?

Chelsea have won 30 more points this season than they did from the same fixtures last season.

That makes the west London club the most improved side in the division.

Last season, for example, the Blues lost 1-0 at home to Bournemouth .

This time round though they beat the Cherries 3-0 at Stamford Bridge, an improvement of three points.

Overall then Antonio Conte’s side have won 53 points this season compared to 23 points last season from games played in both campaigns.

Everton are the division’s next most improved side, picking up 14 more points than they did from the corresponding matches last season.

Liverpool have the next best record with 11 more points, followed by West Brom with seven.

Leicester have the division’s worst record compared to last season, as you might expect.

The struggling champions have 20 fewer points in 2016/17 than they did from the same fixtures last season.

West Ham have the next worst record with 16 points fewer than in 2015/16.
