The Spain international was the subject of interest from the Chinese Super League in January, though the Blues turned down an £80million offer for his services at the time.
Still, Costa has not performed as consistently since the whole saga in the winter, and may no longer be in the club’s long-term plans after the end of this season.

According to the London Evening Standard, Chelsea are now ready to reconsider their stance on the 28-year-old as they eye up new options up front for next year.
The Premier League leaders are looking into bringing Romelu Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge from Everton, while Costa’s exit could also see them step up their pursuit of unsettled Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.
Costa has two years left on his contract with Chelsea, and is reported to be asking for a significant pay rise as other sides circle for him ahead of the summer.
The Brazilian-born striker is wanted by his old club Atletico Madrid as well as by clubs from China, and Chelsea increasingly feel they may be ready to let him go after his recent dip in form.
