Coronation Street fans were left in stitches after barman Sean Tully made a super rude joke as he served up the drinks.
Actor Antony Cotton had viewers screeching with laughter when he served birthday girl Sinead Tinker a cocktail that wasn’t just blue in colour.
As he handed her the special drink on Friday, Sean said: “There you go, I’ve even sugared the rim for you.”
Landlady Liz McDonald then joined in the fun, adding: “You don’t get an offer like that everyday.”
Fans took to Twitter to show their appreciation for the innuendo.
One wrote: “Line Of The Night: “I’ve even sugared the rim for you””
Another said: “Never thought I’d hear anyone in Coronation Street say…”I’ve sugared the rim for you”…….the innuendos are re surfacing again”
“I’ve sugared the rim for you…..I wonder how many #Corrie fans got that one,” pondered another fan.
One viewer said: “OMG crying with laughter Sean “there you go, I’ve even sugared the rim for you!!”
A number of tweets were directed at Antony, and he passed on praise to writer Julie Jones.
He wrote: “In answer to the many questions about Friday’s @itvcorrie, Sean’s line about sugaring the rim, it was penned by the marvellous Julie Jones”.
