Lee Ryan's character Woody exits EastEnders after brawl with Mick?

Former Blue star Lee Ryan has hinted that his new EastEnders alter ego Woody may not be around at the Queen Vic for very long at all, after revealing that he didn’t get much time to work with Danny Dyer, who recently returned to set as Mick Carter following a short break.

While it has been no secret that Lee’s stint is purely a guest one, it certainly seemed like he was prepared to get his feet under the table at the pub when he rocked up last night, even if Shirley was less than impressed.

With it recently being suggested that EastEnders are planning a huge fight for Mick and Woody, could Mick return home in a blaze of glory and kick Woody to the curb quite literally? And what are his reasons for taking such a dislike to him? Was he more of a Westlife fan or is there more to it than that?

Hinting at the tense scenes between Mick and Woody, Lee told This Morning: ‘I love Danny, he’s so great. I was really looking forward to working with him and we got some great scenes. It was only a short time we got to work together, but I can’t say too much about that because I’m not allowed.’

Lee added that Woody is a sensitive character who ‘just wants to be liked’ but that might not be possible when Mick returns. Especially when Woody does something that risks making him even more unpopular…
