Everton would rather sell Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United than to Chelsea, according to reports.
The Daily Telegraph claims that Chelsea’s relationship with Everton has still not fully repaired following John Stones’ transfer saga in the summer of 2015.
Stones handed in a transfer request after two of Chelsea’s bids were rejected. The defender ended up staying at Goodison Park for one more season before joining Manchester City for £47.5 million last summer.
And it’s now claimed that Everton would allow Lukaku to join Old Trafford in order to get stop Chelsea from getting their man.

Everton have reportedly put a £100 million price tag on the Belgium international, but the striker’s preferred destination is a return to Stamford Bridge.
It’s also claimed that Everton have doubts over Jose Mourinho’s interest in Lukaku as the United manager has made the signing of Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid his top priority for the summer.
Lukaku’s current contract with Everton still has two years remaining but the player has indicated that he will not commit to a new deal.
The 23-year-old could also be forced to submit a transfer request to Everton at the end of the season in order to force through his return to Chelsea.
