Kendall Jenner has come under fire from Adidas fans who are not impressed with the fact she was picked to be in the brand’s campaign in the wake of her distasteful Pepsi advert.
Looks like the internet is a very unforgiving place and the world certainly remembers.
The sportswear company revealed that the reality star was their latest ambassador as they posted a video featuring her on August 16.
The reality TV star was also very proud of her work as she shared the video alongside the words: ‘The first look.
#ORIGINALis #adidas_Ambassador @adidasOriginals.’
But the campaign quickly becomes a flop as fans swooped in with complaints.
Many fans couldn’t believe that Adidas would even consider the 21-year-old for the campaign after her controversial appearance on the Pepsi ad in March.
Kendall was immediately accused of trivialising civil rights and political protests and by the time they saw her latest ad the anger was clearly still rife.
Some fans also questioned why the younger sister of Kim Kardashian could not be replaced by an athlete.
While someone else remarked: ‘I won’t be buying Adidas ever again. I have been buying Adidas for over 20 years. Over this brand. Such a unoriginal campaign. Boring. Not original. Ironic.’
Others took issue with the fact the advert’s strapline ‘original is never finished’, while they believe the model is unoriginal.
One user wrote: ‘The most unoriginal b***h in entire modeling world represents adidas originals.’
Another user wrote: ‘How dull can you get. Kendull Jenner really? I don’t understand her appeal. Her family became famous from a sex tape.’
In Adidas’s defence the advert also includes James Harden, 21 Savage, Young Thug, and Playboi Carti.
