It has reportedly been two weeks since former model Jeremy McConnell has seen his baby son, Caben-Albi, according to an insider.
The separation came following a physical fight with his now ex-girlfriend and mother of his child, former Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davis.
‘Jeremy seems to be carrying on like he has no cares in the world. He has a son who is six-months-old who he hasn’t been in touch with for two weeks now – not even a call to anyone to find out how he is or to check if he is well,’ a source told MailOnline.
They added: ‘It seems like he was keen to play happy families when it suited him, but now he is single he has forgotten about his son which is a disgrace.’
Jeremy’s profile image on Twitter is still a picture of him and Caben-Albi, and he posted just yesterday about a club appearance he was making in Manchester.
However, those close to Jeremy have come to his defence, with one insider telling OK! Online that the separation was due to police restrictions, saying: ‘The police have told Jeremy he can’t speak to Steph. He misses his son with all his heart but there is nothing he can do.’
Meanwhile Steph is trying to rise above all the drama, and focusing on quality time with her son. She posted a photo of Caben earlier today, alongside the caption: ‘He can now sit up by himself! Very proud mum right now.’
Jeremy’s publicist declined to comment.
Steph’s reps have been contacted for comment.
