Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho and his assistant Rui Faria looked perplexed on the touchline after Marcos Rojo was hurt in their Europa League tie against Anderlecht.
The Red Devils are in the midst of a centre-back injury crisis with Chris Smalling and Phil Jones already out.
That’s forced Mourinho to pair Rojo and Eric Bailly in every match recently.
So when Rojo was hurt early in Thursday’s quarter-final second-leg tie at Old Trafford it gave Mourinho something of a quandary.
As the Argentina international received treatment to his knee and a coming together, Mourinho and Faria could be seen consulting their notes, trying to figure out what to do.

Mourinho eventually turned to substitute Daley Blind – a midfielder by trade but who can also play in defence – to fill in.
