Jose Mourinho will continue to live in a hotel and regularly eat takeaways during his second season as Manchester United manager, according to reports.
The Portuguese coach spent the first year of his Old Trafford tenure staying at the centrally located Lowry Hotel.
When it emerged he was living at the five star establishment the Special One found himself mockingly likened to comedy character Alan Partridge, who famously lived at a Travel Tavern.
Mourinho himself admitted midway through the season that his living arrangements were ‘a bit of a disaster’.
But despite any mocking, and the potential benefits of living in a traditional home, the Mirror suggests Mourinho is to persist at the Lowry Hotel for the 2017/18 campaign.
He has so far been staying in one of the hotel’s six luxury Riverside suits – which for a one-night stay costs on average £694 per night. However it’s understood that a reduced rate will have been agreed owing to the length of the stay.

The Mirror also claim that the Manchester United manager will rely mostly on takeaways for dinner rather than eat out.
An ‘unidentified United source’ told the publication that Mourinho would use the Deliveroo service as he’s become annoyed at being followed by photographers when he dines out.
