Never one to not cause a stir, Lauren Harries has introduced her new toyboy boyfriend to the Loose Women ladies after meeting her dream man on Twitter.
It’s early days for Lauren and 21-year-old Connor Yemm, but the couple gushed about one another as they were quizzed on their blossoming new relationship.
The former Celebrity Big Brother housemate met pansexual Connor recently on social media, and says that they both have the same sense of humour and definite chemistry.
Chatting to Ayda Field, Anne Diamond, Linda Robson and Christine Lampard before welcoming him to the show, Lauren revealed: ‘We met on Twitter, and the first thing I said to him was whether he liked women.
‘He said I do, and I said that’s a good start. I instigated it in a way, but he’s his own man and his own personality.’
Lauren went on to reveal that Connor’s open minded attitude and accepting frame of mind was what instantly attracted her to him.
‘He sees me as a woman and he’s accepting of that,’ Lauren said. ‘And that’s the reason why we click. We have such a good laugh and a very similar sense of humour.’
Given a warm welcome by the Loose Women live audience, Connor made his TV debut bringing a bunch of flowers for his sweetheart, and was quick to jump straight into explaining what it is that he loves so much about Lauren.
‘Lauren’s a very endearing woman, and it really drags me down when people are so narrow-minded and so judgemental about people’s lives,’ Connor said.
‘Lauren has not gone through all this change for nothing, to not be treated as a woman… It’s not the 1950s anymore.’
The 19 year age gap has led to a barrage of criticism and doubt towards the couple online, but Connor insisted that they won’t be letting the negativity affect their relationship.
‘We’ve had quite a lot of negative comments from the public, but we live in our own bubble,’ he promised. ‘Live each day as it comes, we try and block out all the negativity.’
Revealing how his pansexuality means that he’s attracted to all types of genders, Connor went on to say: ‘As long as I’ve got that connection with somebody, having a laugh, cooking meals, going out walking the dog… It’s a good start.’
And although it might still be early days for the couple, Lauren ended the Loose Women interview on a positive note about their future.
‘We have the same sense of humour, we have chemistry,’ the reality star said.
‘And with regards to anybody wanting to be happy in this day and age, whatever makes you happy, just go for it.’
