Monarch to offer upgrades to 'nice' passengers

]]>A budget airline says it will start rewarding passengers for being polite with free upgrades — but subject to some intricate terms and conditions.

Monarch, which was saved from the verge of bankruptcy last autumn, has embarked on a “year-long campaign to promote traditional values of chivalry, courtesy and respect”. 

The airline’s chief operating officer, Nils Christy, said: “We are often described as the nicer airline and holiday company and we pride ourselves on this.
