Nigel Farage would 'probably' stand if electoral fraud probe leads to by-election

Nigel Farage said today that if an electoral fraud investigation in Kent leads to a by-election, he would “probably” stand.

Kent Police and the Electoral Commission are investigating whether the Conservatives broke the law by failing to properly declare expenses related to the 2015 campaign in the seat of Thanet South.

According to the Mail On Sunday, Mr Farage’s election strategist Chris Bruni-Lowe has passed a dossier to police containing details of computer logs accessed by Ukip’s only MP Douglas Carswell, who defected to the party from the Conservatives.
