O.J. Simpson could be lined up for a sensational appearance on Celebrity Big Brother following his release from prison.
The disgraced NFL star – who was jailed for 33 years for kidnapping and armed robbery in 2008 – is due to be released from jail in October.
According to the Daily Star Online, bosses for the Channel 5 reality show are keen to sign him up for a future series once he’s out from behind bars and see it as a chance for “box office telly”.
In 1995, OJ – also known as The Juice – was famously cleared of killing his ex wife Nicole and her friend Ronald Goldman in an extremely high-profile murder trial.
It was the subject of a TV drama retelling the trial, which starred John Travolta, David Schwimmer and Cuba Gooding Jr.
Meanwhile, OJ: Made In America – a TV documentary which aired last year – won an awards at the Oscars in February.
The star was cleared of murder after the nine-month trial, although a civil court later found him responsible for the death of Goldman.
A Channel 5 spokesman told the Daily Star: “We don’t comment on speculation about future housemates.”
