Police in Glasgow were taking no chances as they marched Rangers fans to Celtic Park ahead of today’s Old Firm clash.
The fierce rivals do battle for the fourth time this season at Parkhead as Rangers look to record their first victory over Hoops since their return to the Scottish Premiership.
And remarkable pre-match images show police surrounding Gers fans on their journey to Celtic Park on Sunday morning.
Celtic have won each of the three meetings so far this season, winning 5-1 in the league in September thanks largely to a hat-trick from Moussa Dembele.
They then recorded a 1-0 won in the Scottish League Cup semi-final and a 2-1 win at Ibrox in the second league fixture of the campaign.
Today marks the last time the sides will meet in league action this season, but they have been drawn against each other in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup next month.
Dembele insists he has consigned his treble in September to the back of his mind ahead of today’s clash.
“It was a big moment in my Celtic career,” he said. “It was my first hat-trick as a professional footballer and my first league goals too for Celtic. It is all about opportunities.
“I try to take mine when the gaffer gave me a chance to play and since then I have tried to give 100 per cent in training and in games to stay on the pitch.
“It was a good day to remember but it has gone now and we have another game on Sunday.
“As a young kid you dream of being part of games like this and now I am so I will just enjoy the moment and show what I can do.
“I am looking forward to the Rangers game as I have been looking forward to every other game. We have to make sure we prepare like we prepare for every other game.”
