Princess Diana secretly helped best friend bury her stillborn baby in the grounds of Kensington Palace

But one of Princess Diana’s remarkable acts remained largely unknown, until today.

The princess made an extraordinary offer to her best friend, Rosa Monckton, after she suffered a stillbirth, a new programme reveals.

She reportedly suggested that Rosa – a successful businesswoman – bury her tragic child in the grounds of London’s Kensington Palace .

In a bid to “get through” security, Diana apparently told the chief inspector that she, Rosa and her butler were burying a pet in the garden.
