Rio Ferdinand gets Floyd Mayweather to choose between Manchester United and Manchester City

The Manchester derby.

It’s one of the most fierce rivalries in English football – heightened in recent years by Manchester City’s rise as a prominent force in the Premier League.

Manchester United had the upper hand for many years, but City have enjoyed success in more recent times, claiming a couple of top-flight titles.

But the, er, big question is, who does Floyd Mayweather prefer?

Thank goodness we’ve got Rio Ferdinand to pose the query to the 49-0 boxing legend.

And, as it turns out, Mayweather is a big old glory hunter.

“This is a good question for you,” Ferdinand tells Mayweather. “Manchester United, which is my team, or Manchester City?”

“Who has the better record?” Mayweather asks, barely before Ferdinand has got the question out. “Who has the more championships?”

Ferdinand delights in replying: “Manchester United.”

“Well that’s who we’re rocking with, baby!” Oh, Floyd.

Mayweather continues to be linked with a return to the ring to take on two-weight UFC champ Conor McGregor in a fight which is tipped to eclipse box office records if it comes to fruition.
