Shopper spots something very rude about M&S chewing gum sign

Marks & Spencer might want to reconsider its chewing gum signs at till salespoints.

The retailer is hoping to entice shoppers into spending that extra 84p out of customers by placing “curiously strong gum” above the self checkout machines.

But, as pointed out by art director Antonia Bonello, the choice of font might be better reconsidered…

Antonio spotted the ‘gum’ at an M&S in a Brighton branch and shared it with the world. It’s a bit embarrassing, isn’t it? How did the management miss this?

But then, as Neil Crump mentions, the store has clearly “sold out” of its gum, so either customers aren’t noticing the font-based issue, or. Anyway.

People have been finding it quite hilarious.
