Wales Under-20 stars belt out rendition of Stand By Me inside the dressing room after Six Nations victory

Wales Under-20s have made Ben E King’s Stand By Me their team song during their Six Nations campaign.

And after beating Ireland 41-27 on Saturday night, Jason Strange’s young charges belted out a stirring rendition in the dressing rooms post match, reports Wales Online.

The Welsh youngsters were in full voice as they celebrated their success in the home dressing room at Parc Eirias in Colwyn Bay.

There was even a special solo from Cardiff Blues flanker Shane Lewis-Hughes, who stepped into the centre of the circle to lead the singing.

The U20s have had plenty to sing about this season, with this being their third victory in four matches.

They’ve not been able to repeat last year’s Grand Slam, losing to England, who have already secured the title thanks to their bonus point tally.

But it’s been a highly creditable campaign, considering it’s the first year in the set-up for a number of the team.

The likes of Kieran Williams, Ryan Conbeer, Dane Blacker, Rhys Carre, Keiron Assiratti and skipper Will Jones have all excelled, with Ospreys centre Williams scoring two of their five tries last night.

So plenty of reason for a good old-fashioned sing-song from the young guns.
