Who will be on the first episode?

The first episode of the new series will be hosted for the first time by Patrick Stewart.

Speaking about his joy at the being a guest host, the X-Men actor recently told the Radio Times: ‘A long awaited and anticipated moment in my career has arrived.’

Team captains Ian Hislop and Paul Merton will once again be leading their teams through the big news stories of the week.

In the first episode they will be joined by Pointless co-host Richard Osman and Labour MP Angela Eagle.
