Channel 4 News presenter Cathy Newman desperate to track down off-duty firefighter who saved her uncle's life

Channel 4 News presenter Cathy Newman has thanked the off-duty firefighter who saved her uncle’s life.

Cathy, who joined the broadcaster in 2006, took to social media on Saturday evening after her uncle suffered a heart attack at London’s Euston station.

The firefighter, who was off-duty at the time, performed life-saving treatment.

Following the incident, British Transport Police tweeted: “Male having a heart attack & luckily quick thinking off duty @LondonFire fighter @BTPEuston & @BTPNetworkResp gave life saving treatment.”

Cathy said she would like to thank the firefighter personally
